As long as I'm publishing bookmarklets for "Web 2.0" applications here's another one. With it you can add new events to your 30 Boxes calendar even faster. Click the bookmarklet and you'll be provided with a dialog. In it you can type the same things you would in 30 Boxes' "One Box". Click OK and it's added.

Drag the version you prefer to your browsers bookmark bar:

**Advanced Version**:
new event - After you've added an event with this bookmarklet the browser does nothing. Allowing you to enter an event without leaving the page you're on.

Version 3

Fixed a bug that added NULL events on cancel
Now tested and running on the following browsers: Safari, Firefox on Mac OS and Windows, IE Win 6.0, IE Win 5.5, IE Win 5.0.1

Version 2

Added compatibility with Firefox in addition to Safari

Version 1

Initial Release

**Basic Version**:
new event - This bookmarklet redirects you to your 30Boxes calendar after you've added an event. Use this one if you want to confirm your events after adding them.

To use either one you will of course need a 30Boxes account and be logged in when you click.

It doesn't seem to work on Mac (FF or Safari)...

We'd love to post it if we can confirm it works on Mac and PC (IE and FF)

Narendra, you're absolutely right about the FF problem. I didn't spend a lot of time making sure that it worked under FF. That's because I was writing it for my browser: Safari.

So, that's sort of strange. If you want to give me a few more details about what version and so forth of Safari you are running I can see about fixing it.

I will work on a more compatible version - one that will work on most browsers.

Matt

Anyway to modify this so that highlighted text on the page gets placed in the box automatically (when you click the bookmarlet)? I've come across several instances where I could have added an item to 30b with no typing.

Thanks!

Matt, sure, that sounds doable. I'll work on it.
