Story-starters for Big People
I remember when I first started writing in grade-school my Mother would provide 'story-starters' for me to use as a jumping off point in creating make-believe worlds. As I get older and collect experiences of my own I find the best way to jump-start my creativity is to get out and do something.
So I guess this website I've discovered, GoAbroad.com, is a collection of story-starters for big people. Just take your pick from eco-spiritual adventures in the Himalayan Mountains, or teaching English in the Czech Republic. Volunteer for Peace in Australia, or take a small paycheck doing wildlife conservation in the outback. Whatever you choose you're bound to have a good story to tell when it's all done.
