On Friday morning Robyn and I are headed to Chicago for a long weekend. We don't have any firm plans yet, aside from hanging out with some friends while we're down there. So, since we're looking for unique ideas for things to do together I thought I'd open it up to all of you. What do you like to do in Chicago?

geja's cafe - very cool fondue place. chicago seems to be the place to go this weekend!

Go for a walk on North Ashland. I don't know why, but that street seems to do it for me.

I know that feeling Bryan - there's another street that I love in Chicago for reasons I can't seem to nail down. I love to walk down parts of Clark Street in search of moments of inspiration.

Count Mathula

The count says..."Go to Giordano's for the best pizza in Chicago, visit the World Trade Center photo exhibit on Randolf and Wabash (pictures taken by normal vampires like you and me at ground zero), The Cleopatra exhibit is superb at the Field Museum, visit some stores in the Gold Coast and wet your whistle at Pippin's on Rush Street or The Lodge on Division. Oh and how bout going to see your MOMA. No not the one who wiped your booty, The Museum of Modern Art (MOMA)...eat your heart out Basquiat...on second thought, maybe I'll eat it!"

The count says..."The basement of the library has a vintage art exhibit displaying how people speculated the future would be. Also pick up the Chicago Reader while in town (Don't worry you mortal, its FREE!)The Reader's entertainment section will tell you of live bands and great places to eat. Don't be afraid of public transportation, even Vampires can get from work to coffin easily on any bus or any train.

The count says..."www.Digitalcity.com" type in Chicago and you will find a plethora of things. Finally...bring some boots and loooooooong underwear...cuz itza gonna snowww! VAMPIRES LIVE ON CLARK & FULLERTON - maybe ve could get a BITE to eat!"

My wife "the bride of Mathustein" has informed me that (MOMA) the Museum of Modern Art is actually located in New York. The Museum of which I was referring to was the Contemporary Museum of Modern in Chicago. Sometimes I get so batty! My deepest apologeeezz.

Sir Count,

I would like to thank you for your kind invitation and despite some bashfulness on my wife's part at the mention of blood I would like to assure you we will be overcoming our fears to join you for dinner on Saturday evening. I look forward to discussing your recent escapdes in the city: Mathustein IIV - vampires on the CTA.
